The bedrooms are spacious, informal and bright with the atmosphere of clean sea air and the countryside.
With one single and one double bed, the largest room can easily accommodate 3 adults or a family with space to spare. It has its own balcony, a well-designed cubicle ensuite shower and toilet and a discreet washstand in the room. It is furnished with a rocking chair, a grand old wardrobe and antique dressing table.
The East room has a chest of drawers, period rocking chair and a large antique built in cupboard on either side of a small decorative Victorian fireplace. The private bathroom opposite has a Meynell shower over a low-level iron bath.
Bedrooms 3 & 4
The middle room is a character bedroom with big oak double bed, Victorian chest of drawers and traditional wardrobe.
The twin bedroom opposite has matching antique single beds and a pleasant view across the garden to woodland alongside the lane leading down to Talland Bay.
Kitchen, Lounge and Bathrooms
The kitchen is at the foot of the stairs on the ground floor and fully equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A coin operated drier is also available.
The lounge with TV/Netflix is near the kitchen and to the right of the front door as you enter the house. The room is comfortably furnished and has polished wooden floorboards, log burner and original shutters at the window. There is a view across the walled front garden with the sea in the distance.
In addition to the ensuite in the largest bedroom, there are two private bathrooms on the first floor, one with a bath and shower, the other with a conventional enclosed shower. The bathrooms are traditional design with high level flush cisterns
The landing and stairs are shared. The front door provides independent access to your areas of the house ensuring privacy and distance as you come and go during your holiday here.
