An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
HENDERSICK HOUSE is in a spectacular rural location only 5 minutes drive from the seaside and fishing town of Looe. Set in 7 acres with large rambling gardens, this former farmhouse is now dedicated to hospitality.
A private path leads from the front garden to the coast, the SW Coastal Footpath and secluded beach. An area of outstanding beauty and rural peace and quiet.. Often you may hear the hammering of a woodpecker during the day or the call of an owl at night. Deer occasionally wander through the garden.
From the house there are stunning views across the fields to the sea with the Rame Peninsular at the horizon.
Traditional Aga-cooked breakfasts served with free range eggs, fresh orange juice and homemade bread. Friendly, informal hospitality.
Towels, quality linens, electric blankets on every bed. Superfast wifi.
Guests have the freedom of their own fully-equipped kitchen/dining room on the ground floor as well as comfortable lounge with TV and Netflix.
Here you are free to relax at home or in the garden, perhaps wander down to the beach for a swim, or walk the coastal path to Polperro harbour and visit the fantastic Blue Peter pub. If you need a lie in and a late breakfast, muesli and cereals as well as tea and coffee are available in the kitchen all day long.
Ample parking and plenty of space for boats, surfboards and walking boots.
Timeless and peaceful, the house and surrounding countryside have changed little since the days when this was a working farmhouse some 40 years ago. Heavy slate flagstones pave the hallway and the thick stone walls of the house create a cosy feeling of warmth and permanence.
