The SW Coastal Footpath, Hendersick
This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a haven for birds and wildlife.
A path leading from the garden takes you out to a hillside overlooking the SW Coastal footpath and Looe Island in minutes. From here you can walk down to a secluded beach where you can go swimming or across the headland to Hore Point.
It takes about 50 mins to walk to Looe along the coast. In the other direction the footpath takes you to Talland Bay, Polperro and beyond.
On a clear day you can just make out the Eddystone Lighthouse on the horizon.
The National Trust farmland along this coastline is “open access” so there is a wide area of countryside here that you are free to roam.
