The SW Coastal Footpath, Hendersick
This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a haven for birds and wildlife.
An ancient cart track leading from the front garden takes you out to a hillside overlooking the SW Coastal footpath and Looe Island in minutes. From here you can walk down to a secluded beach where you can go swimming or across the headland to Hore Point.
It takes about 50 minutes to walk to Looe along the coast. In the other direction the footpath takes you to Talland Bay, Polperro (in about 75 minutes) and beyond.
On a clear day you can just make out the Eddystone Lighthouse on the horizon.
The National Trust farmland along this coastline is “open access” so there is a wide area of countryside here that you are free to roam.
